This is priceless – it hasn’t stopped raining since we arrived on Sunday afternoon. The local airport was closed yesterday and hasn’t reopened yet. The owner of the hotel we are staying at is writing to people who have a booking advising them to stay away. Quote from the Bangkok Post Online: „Thousands of tourists were stranded on Koh Samui after bad weather forced the closure of the island’s only airport and the suspension of the ferry service to and from the mainland yesterday.“
And I just read that British Airways cabin crew have decided to go on strike, again. Our flight back home is with BA, of course!
Boy, do you have a lot of luck. Remind me not to go to the same place as you, at the same time.
Still thinking about setting up anti-tripadvisor.com… The URL is actually available and I would just have to post my latest travel plans so people can change theirs and make sure to go somewhere else, far away!
I like it. I see the Americans are planning to land people on an asteroid 5 million miles away and taking 3 months to get there. Perhaps they should check with you first!
You didn’t read about that asteroid mission today, on 1st April, by any chance? Anyway, I can guarantee that I have no plans whatsoever to visit any asteroids so they should be safe!
